On The Firing Line by ReijiKageyama On The Firing Line by ReijiKageyama
Just a pic on the firing line, re-qualifying with the 1911.

If you wonder why I have the NVG on my head we ran some drills in a darkened kill House and I just opted to keep it on, forgot it was there at some point removed it before running the 40mm.

As awesome as it may seem, it gets really hot with the kit on. Felt like there was a faucet slowly pouring water over my face at some point during the exercises. I honestly felt like I couldn't rehydrate fast enough. Luckily it got cooler later in the day.

I've got no trouble with heat... It's the equipment we have here that's stuck around the level of the 70's People's Army... "No money to buy anything" they say...

That sucks dude. I remember the old 70's junk years back. Some of it was decent but honestly glad we got some new high-speed stuff.

The "no money" excuse is the usual BS everyone says. Most of the times cash is just pocketed or they end up dumping all the funding on useless projects and/or more old and sometimes used junk.

Well, truth be told, the budget of HDF is small enough as it is. But of course everyone's aware that even this small funding is being stolen and/or stuffed to useless crap project which was won by companies owned by people who are friends of the right people in the board...
Still, the result is that the HDF's combat readiness is a joke.

All I can say is Embrace the suck dude.

But as long as your rifle works, you got ammo, and you got your buddies beside you, you can at least find a way to make do with issued junk.

It ain't the best setup at all, but sometimes we just got no choice until the people on top finally decide to get of their asses and provided the needed equipment and gear.

Just keep vigilant and stay sharp out there.

Not like we have any other choice, do we?...
But it's fine, my contract ends on september 30 next year, and I don't plan to stay any longer in this joke of an army. Until then, well, I manage somehow =P.
